Lucky Horse started as a small Christmas pop-up cafe named Jollidazed— a warm space created to bring joy during the holidays. What began as a seasonal idea quickly grew into something we cared deeply about and wanted to build with intention.
We are located in the heart of Chinatown, and that means a lot to our family. This neighborhood carries history — immigrant stories, sacrifice, resilience, and community. Those are values we grew up with. Hard work. Staying grounded. Showing up for each other. We don’t take lightly the responsibility of building something here.
Lucky Horse is evolving into a Vietnamese-inspired brunch and lunch cafe with coffee, fresh pastries, sandwiches, and comforting plates. But more than that, it’s meant to be a space where culture and community meet in a modern way.
At Dochi, one of our core beliefs is that everyone is fighting a battle we may not see, and that small acts of kindness can make a real difference. We want Lucky Horse to carry that same spirit. Whether it’s a warm drink, a shared pastry, or simply a place to sit and reset, our hope is to create moments that make someone’s day a little better.
And if we build it right, Lucky Horse won’t just be a daytime cafe. We see it becoming a late-night hangout too — where conversations last longer, friends gather after dinner, desserts are shared, and culture continues into the evening.
This isn’t just about coffee or food for us. It’s about building something rooted in heritage, driven by community, and grounded in kindness.
A little lucky. A little bold. Built with heart.
